Please join us for the Art and Testimony webinar series of 2024, co-hosted by the UBC-V Public Humanities Hub and the University of Victoria’s Survivor-Centred Visual Narratives project, with support from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). This webinar series brings critical issues in art-based research into a contemporary focus. It engages with art not only as a tool for knowledge mobilization, but by centring on how art is an impactful form of participatory action research and how visual narratives can disrupt the traditional process of the testimony collection, a practice often favouring language over image. Register at the links below. This page will continue to be updated with dates, registration links, and webinar recordings as information becomes available.
