The Dr. Ambedkar International Symposium on Emancipation explores the topics of caste, Buddhism, and emancipation based on the philosophy of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar, and provides a forum for thinkers to gather and reflect on the progress made and challenges experienced over the past twenty years since the International Dalit Conference was hosted in Vancouver in May 2003.
Events take place April 21-26, 2023 at UBC-V and around the Lower Mainland and at UVic. Registration fees for students at Canadian universities will be waived.
