Collaborating with a rich network of partners, Karine leads the UBC Knowledge Exchange Unit’s strategic positioning and development. She has twenty years of experience in governmental, non-governmental and academic settings, including sixteen in the field of knowledge exchange. From 2012-2018, Karine oversaw the knowledge exchange sector at the Quebec Public Health Institute, where she set up a team of Kx advisors and supported over 100 knowledge exchange projects. She has published and presented widely on knowledge exchange, collaborating with research teams and experts in Canada and France.
Knowledge exchange (Kx) is about establishing meaningful and reciprocal research collaborations beyond academia and communicating research effectively and ethically for the benefit of communities. The UBC Knowledge Exchange Unit supports researchers across disciplines in developing Kx skills, accessing Kx-related resources at UBC, planning for reciprocal research partnerships, and demonstrating impacts.
